Pappas and Patterson named GBFFL Regular Season MVP's

August 19, 2008- All season long two players have stood out and led their teams to the top of the GBFFL standings.  Nick pappas, quarterback for Any Given Sunday and Steve Patterson, receiver and safety for W.H. Greene and Associates, were named 2008 GBFFL Summer Session, Regular Season Co-MVP's on Sunday following the competitive finals. Pappas led Any Given Sunday to an 11-1 regular season record and the GBFFL playoff finals. His percision passing with perfect touch was the trademark of an offense that averaged an amazing 29 points per game. Patterson led W.H. Greene and Associates to the GBFFL Championship. Offensively, Patterson is known for his sharp route running, good hands and "toe-touch" catches on the out of bounds line. Although he is one of the best offensive players in the league, defensively is where his presence is felt most. From his safety spot he possesses such range that he can cover sideline to sideline, deep, allowing the W.H. Greene and Associate corners to pinch close to the line of scrimmage. Patterson's presence discourages most quarterbacks from attempting to throw deep and with two corners stalking the line of scrimmage, opposing teams had great difficulty scoring against Green and Assocaiates, exemplified by their 6.4 points against average in the regular season.
